It is amazing the impact that words can have on your life. There are 26 letters in the English alphabet. It is truly amazing that one combination of these letters can bring love and comfort while a different combination of the same letters can strike fear deep in our hearts. I absolutely hate the words "terminally ill". After Pat's diagnosis, I have refuse to use them but have replaced them with the alternative phrase "Terminally Healed". God's word states " 'For I will restore health to you And heal you of your wounds,’ says the LORD." Jeremiah 30:17 (NKJ) This, my friends, is a solid | |||||||||||
promise that God offers terminal healing. The Bible is full of promises such as this but many people do not realize it. Who
Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins,
might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. But
He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The
chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. He
sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. The
thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come
that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. Beloved,
I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul
prospers. Now
this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according
to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we
know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalms 103:1-5 (NKJ) .... As children of God, it is time we stand and claim these promises. God has called us to go and testify about what he has done for us. If we can reach even one person that is hurting, scared or feels alone and tell them the good news that God can help them through this time of need, that He is the same yesterday, today and forever and that He can heal broken souls and bodies, then we have accomplished what God has set out for us. :||:
